Ghostcrawler on category reflection and balance

Ghostcrawler has a awesome return on the team forums (and it's not noticeable "Not Tracked", so you know he wants us studying this one) about how much of a part category reflection actually performs in higher education balance. Obviously, balance itself performs the greatest part in higher education balance -- if (using GC's absolutely theoretical example) Feral Druids are crowded out as aquariums, then Blizzard would have to look into nerfing Feral Druids.

But what if Feral Druids only make up a portion of the aquariums in Ulduar? Should Blizzard nerf the 5% of aquariums that are Druids down until they're only 2% of the population? Just because sessions are crowded out doesn't mean that actual category communities are, and all of these factors go into the mix when Blizzard creates choices about how to balance the sessions.

Look at Seeker as well -- just the other day we mentioned how the category inhabitants is dropping off, WOW Gold and yet they're one of the top three sessions performed on both groups. So should Blizzard strong or nerf them?
